Hey fellas! Last week was kinda tough for me. The Bears lose and Duke loses to Carolina. Wow! Anyway, I thought we might give blogging a try, to see if we can keep each other up to date with each other. The blog is called high school buds, but you can invite anyone you want.

Yes I agree, bummer of a week with the bears losing.. The pitchers and catchers report to spring traing next week so we will have the Cubs back to rip our hearts to shreds all over again!!! Good idea with the blog thing. Nothing much new at this end, mostly running the girls around to their various sporting events and what not. Mary and I are in a bowling leauge that bowls once a month and I bowled a 189 last night so that is the big news of the day. Thinking of getting out of the hardware business and joining the pro bowlers tour. What's new with the rest you ???
Hey guys -- We just got home from Florida. When we left last Saturday the windchill in Viroqua was 40 below zero. It was in the high 70's while we were in Florida. That was a nice change.
The Bears game was depressing. It started out on such a high and just went down hill from there. I have put it out of my mind. The Super Bowl is dead to me now.
Feb 14 is the big day for pitchers and catchers to report. About a year ago I started blogging about the Cubs. If you want to know what I think, check out www.cubscafe.blogspot.com.
Queebs, congrats on your 189 game. We went bowling about a month ago and I hurt my finger. It still isn't healed. Bowling can be very dangerous. Please Queebs, be careful.
Let's keep this blog going. It's a good idea and a great way for us to stay in touch. Yea technology!
All right! This is cool, guys. Even after Duke lost again today, you guys have raised my spirits. I am having trouble uploading pics-but I'll figure it out. And yes I will maintain the blog.
Oh, meant to ask El Capitan. How are those tunes I sent you? I spend way too much time with my tunes and Ipod. I have over 5000 songs, 2 seasons of Alias, and several movies on the Ipod.
Very obsevant on your part Louis... few people that are not in the "the game" as we refer to it understand the risks that we take every time we decide to lace up the bowling shoes and strap on the risk guard. Those of us in "the game" feel that it is second only to bull riding in the danger you face. The list of things that can happen are endless.. dropping a beer bottle on your foot, burning your hand with ash from you cigar and god forbid the worst of all, steaming hot cheese from the pizza burning your lip. Sorry, I don't mean to be so graphic but that's just reality...
sorry, the previous anonymous was me.. hit the wrong button
sorry, typo on my part again Queens should have been Queebs or was ita typo ???
Queens -- Was it a typo or is this just your way of coming out of the closet? I have to tell you, I've always suspected you'd do that some day. And when you do, I'll just laugh a sly little laugh and say, "I figured as much." Of course, it could have just been a typo.
Ken, who all has access to our secret little electronic world. I almost just typed something about a former friend, but then thought he might have access. That could have been embarrassing (although not as embarrassing as Queens accidently coming out in a blog post).
so I am sure by now you have all figured out that I can't type, however I will leaving you wondering if queens was actually a typo... in my previous witty response "risk gurad" obviously should have read "wrist guard"
You guys are funny. Right now anyone could do a search or just stumble across this blog. I could make it so we would have to invite people for them to access it, if you want. I think that I would have to invite them, as the administrator of the blog.
so Lou, have you guys been in Florida since December?? You guys went done for the Holidays did you not??
We went down to Florida at Christmas and then again last week. My Mom's birthday was last Friday, plus we are going through a bit of a crisis right now (more on that later) and we just wanted to get away for a while. Also, the wind chill was 40 below zero the day we left and the rest of the week looked almost as bad, so it seemed like as good of a time as any to escape to Florida.
